PowerShell is an object-oriented programming language and interactive command line shell for Microsoft Windows. PowerShell was designed to automate system tasks, such as batch processing, and create systems management tools for commonly implemented processes. Basically it is a commandline based tool which is used to interact with shell using some object commands just like the Terminal which you use in the Linux or Windows Command prompt if you use Windows
